kl bird park

We went to KL Bird Park!! Yeayy! Wayyy back during CNY holiday, actually. KL was quite empty save for a few who didn't go balik kampung like us. So around 4PM we just drove out to KL and went to KL Bird Park. There were signs that it was going to rain on the way, but in the end it was a great cloudy day, just perfect for an outdoor stroll.

Our camera seems to go weng nowadays. The pictures comes out extra bright, with white background being so prominent. But somehow it does give some sort of a classic+fantasy+fairy-tale feeling, I think.. Let's just enjoy the pictures...

for me, I'm just so excited to see all these birds everywhere. Kejar kejarrrrr!!!

here here.. bite me hand (tanpa rasa takut.. Umi yang takut sebenanya)

the peacock is the most beautiful bird, and there's plenty of them all over the place!!

i see one over there...

.. apa lagi.. kejarrrrrr!!

heyyy... don't run away!!

there's also a nursery over there... but it's not for kids like me.. it's for the cute little chicklets

at the end of the day, messing around having a lot of fun at the souvenir shop... as usual, Umi and Baba didn't get anything for me.. boo-hoo!!

More pictures over here.

visit baby aisyah

We went to visit Umi's good friend Auntie Faridah and her baby girl, Nur Aisyah. She's based in Ipoh now where she works somewhere in Perak (I forgot exactly where cos it keeps changing.. hehe), but Auntie Faridah was around back in her house in Ampang this time so off we went to visit my new playfriend. The main reason was also to give her a brand new car seat courtesy of all the generous uncles and aunties of KMYS2000.

isn't she cute?

When we got there I was actually fast asleep. I continued to sleep when Umi and Baba brought me inside the house. Baby Aisyah was also asleep by then.

we both continued to be in dreamland while the adults were all talking

then baby Aisyah got up and Umi tried to refresh her infant-carrying-skills (quite awkwardly, I have to say)

But after a while I got up all scared not knowing where exectly where I was. Then to calm me down, Baba took one of the few toys available over there, and soon I was all playing with Mater from Cars.

I've got Mater.. who cares?

Umi sharing some pearls of motherhood wisdom with the new mommy (heheh)

We have to say that the hosts were very hospitable. Even baby Aisyah greeted us very warmly.

soon they will be able to enjoy their new car seat

zoo negara

let's go to the zoo, there's lots of things to do..

The Zoo Negara is a place I've always wanted to go, and a place Umi and Baba have always wanted to bring me to. But we just waited for a good time to go. They thought it would be best to go when I can already walk, so that they don't have to carry me around. Heheh. Also now I can say some of the animals already when I see them :

Umi : Ti..
Nadhrah : ..ger!!
Umi : Ele..
Nadhrah : ..ephant!!
Umi : Gi..
Nadhrah : ..eraffe!!
Umi : Mon..
Nadhrah : ..key!!

Yeay!! So we actually went to the zoo... on Umi's birthday!! What a great birthday present for her, huh? First stop was the animal show. To tell you the truth, the animal show we watched back in AFamosa was much much better with plenty of animals. However, it was quite entertaining to see the seal jumping into the loop straight of the water.

watching the animal show with the birthday mommy

Actually I was so sleepy by the time we got there. Once we got to the aquarium after the show, where it was all dark and a little bit cooler than the hot weather outside, I went straight to sleep. While I slept, Umi and Baba had some fun 'kissing' the fishes...

mmmuuaaahhhssxxxzzz..!!

Once we got outside though, I slowly woke up by the time we got to the giraffes and elephants (which I can pronounce!! huhuhu). We also met up with my cousin Aimar over there, who just arrived.

me still sleeping over here..

.. but all woken up by this time!!

Overall, it was a great day out to watch the animals. We don't have fancy DSLR cameras to show our animal photography skills, but anyway it was a fun time for the family.

come here, big tall giraffe!

The food was different from the last time Umi and Baba went, though (which was way back in their primary.. haha). No more KFC, and it's been replaced with another fast food chain named 'The Wild'. Well, it doesn't taste as good, but at least we know in our conscience that we're not supporting a US brand. We cannot confirm where The Wild comes from, though. Hahah.

we could only watch the tiger from a far, so this is as close as we can get to Baba's favourite animal

I wonder if they can take me as a mascot someday
