save palestine

It's hard to ignore and not say anything about this anymore. The agression has been way overboard and needs to stop. When the world is apalled at how insignificant the value of lives of children to the eyes of the Israelis, their main backer the US continues to close one eye. Other nations are left helpless, not being able to make any change in the international stage due to the hypocrisy and stupidity of the police of the world. How is it that this is what humankind has become? Are we merely at the mercy of the Israelis and can't we do anything to stop them?

My heart goes out to the Palestinians. As Muslims, we always believe that Allah will help those who are close to Him and He will crush those who continues with their arrogance.

There's a lot of way to help, and let's try our best to do most of them. Boycott and stop supporting them by not buying their products, and help our brothers and sisters with whatever financial means that we have through the many donation channels out there.

And our prayers may yet be the best weapon to help our brothers and sisters. To the martyrs, Al-Fatihah...

new year

The Hijri new year had just begun and the other new year is coming soon. I just want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a good and eventful year ahead.

It's also a time to reflect on the past year, on what have been achieved so far and how we can improve further, on all aspects of our life. So, looking back - having started in January 2008 - this blog is almost 1 year old. Yeay!! Although, as you can see, the number of posts have constantly decreased month to month, I still feel that writing posts in this blog brings a lot of joy to myself primarily, and hopefully to others as well.

It just started as a small project for our little family to document the developments of the beautiful little baby that we welcomed into our life. I didn't want to take blogging too seriously, so while there's so much doom and gloom and seriousness hapening all around us in the world today, we'll just focus on our own little fun and games.

a prosperous year ahead, hopefully

Looking forward to the next year, there's so much to look forward to. The little baby is now an active toddler, shouting god-knows-what in her own language while doing all sort of stuff and trying to imitate the adults. Oh, it's gonna be a lot of fun and we hope we can share them all in the next year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!

Some of our effort in putting up a raya greeting before raya, although didn't manage to put it up on time for Eid..

1. Auntie Nia successfully delivered a healthy 3.03kg baby girl yesterday at 5.52PM, apparently after 20 hours of labour. Alhamdulillah, both baby and mommy are doing fine. My new cousin's name is... ARYANNA NADYNE. Yeay, bole main2 dgn dia nanti bile dah besa!!

2. tokPa and tokMa's pictures of their travels to Japan has just arrived, still one more week before they're due to return. The wonders of technology and the internet nowadays. They seem like they're having a lot of fun with cousin Aimar. However, I do wonder how tokPa is coping without his regular dose of golf, what with the Augusta Masters having started.

myfamily shoutouts

Just a short post for these shoutouts...

1. A happy (slightly belated) birthday to tokMa who turns 59 while in Japan visiting cousin Aimar. Hope you guys have fun over there. Baba have helped give them some Japanese lessons for them to find their way around (not!! actually Baba just gave them a pocket jap-eng-jap dictionary, which tokMa find the fonts are too small to be read).

my first barber hair stylist

this is my normal face with tokMa.. I always cry when I'm with her!! sorry ye tokMa..

I know that you guys will read this blog from Japan, so don't forget to bring back some ole-ole for babynadhrah here (and also for Umi and Baba) when you get back okay.

(Btw Auntie Alma, Baba's prepared to chip in for any bday presents for tokMa, so just go ahead. He'll pay back in a 1-year instalment plan!!)

2. Auntie Nia will be going into induced labour probably later today. w00t!! Another cousin and playfriend on the way!! Good luck Auntie Nia and Pak Alang!!

Auntie Nia practising her baby carrying skillz

3. chuNa's probably at home reading this, cos she's online all the time. After her excellent SPM results came out, she's become a dedicated brownie & cupcake baker and full time internet junkie, while also applying for universities and scholarships. Good luck chuNa! Also, help chuNa vote for her REXONA TEENS ROOM MAKEOVER...

help chuNa and che'Ah get a room makeover!!

4. Tia's also going overseas to the UK this Friday for some academia work. So that means... more presents for me when she gets back!! Hehehehe... snicker!! Sorry that we (me, Umi and Baba) probably can't send you off to the airport cos it's already past my bedtime by then. So hope you have fun over there, and don't forget to send my regards to Cristiano Ronaldo okay.

jumping jacks

You might be wondering what the previous post is all about. Actually, I'm trying to enter my first contest, happy moments. The Top 10 entries might stand a chance to win some cash. However, to get into the Top 10, I'm gonna need as many votes I can get from you guys. Apparently you can vote as many times as you like, so keep on voting!! The contest ends on the 31st of March 2008.

I've also entered the video below for the for the video category. It's my so-called new "skill", which Umi likes to call "Jumping Jacks". It's sort of like jumping, but a 6-month-young jump, which as you can see, isn't very high, and needs some backing from Umi as well. But I only do it when I'm really really really happy, and it's obviously a very happy moment for me to jump!! So vote for the video also HERE!!

Here's more of me and my "happy-maker":

it's so soft...

...and so huggable (although it's too big for me to hug)

and I love it because...

...it makes me happy always!!

So don't forget to vote for my BLOG and VIDEO everyday okay!!

Feb 21, 2008

1/2 birthday

It's my half birthday today! I'm 6-months old! Yeayyyy!!

Milestones :

I can sit!!

I can stand!! (with a little, ahem, help)

I can reach my toes!! I also pull them close to my face sometimes

I'm eating!! Twice daily!!

And also,
  • I'm sleeping less nowadays. 7pm - 7am, with a 1 hour awake time in between. (This is causing Umi and Baba to sleep less also). During the day, I only sleep for half an hour twice, because I find playing with Umi is much more fun than sleeping. Weeeeeeeeeeeee...........

(oopss.. it's breastfeeding time.. will update this list later..)

[Updated]

  • When I get bored of sucking my thumbs and fingers, I suck my toes.

  • I can move in circles and sometimes backwards when I'm on my stomach (meniarap). Umi tried so hard to make me move forward. I'm not really in to that yet. Once I start to move on my own, I don't think Umi would carry me that often. I love when Umi carries me everywhere.

  • Sometimes I like to scream in high-pitch just for the sake of fun. Hehehehe...

  • I can hum... I don't know what song it is, but it just goes like hmmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, huuuuhhhhhh...

  • I'm doing the mulut kemam more often now. Hey, I'm not dropping the cute habit after all!

  • Latest skill developed: Jumping Jacks! (stay tuned)

february babies

Happy (belated) birthday to these February babies... although you guys are not babies like me anymore.

Tok-Pa turned 60 on the 6th of February

Auntie Alma celebrated her 27th bday in Japan on the 11th of February

cousin Ikie's (right) 11th birthday was on the 15th of February

For Tok-Pa's special 60, we had a cake delivered from Japan... eh.. not really delivered, but Auntie Alma made the order from Japan. We bought him something that Baba would like to use for himself, an Ogawa massage chair. So Tok-Pa can be massaged after playing golf every week.

ooo... cake from Japan...

everyone pose with their baju tido...

well, the big chair will only arrive in a week. so in the meantime enjoy this X-chair for gamers that we got for free...
